Hieronymus Mueller Museum Displaying 1929 Frank Hoffman Painting April-June 2026

If you need an antidote to artificial intelligence, experience an original 1929 oil painting by Frank B. Hoffman now on display at the Hieronymus Mueller Museum.

Mueller Company acquired the painting in the 1920s, for use in a national advertising campaign, that included ads in the Saturday Evening Post. The painting was recently donated to the museum and is on temporary display from April 1 through June 30, 2026.

The museum is located near downtown Decatur, at 420 W. Eldorado Street, in Decatur, IL. To get to the museum from Decatur, go north on Route 51 and turn left onto Eldorado Street/U.S. 36. The museum will be on your right. Plenty of free parking is available.

The museum is open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm. Regular admission is $3/adult and $1/child. Admission is free for all Mueller employees and retirees.

The Hieronymus Mueller Museum is owned and operated by a private non-profit organization, the Hieronymus Mueller Family Foundation. It tells the story of Hieronymus Mueller, his family, and the company he founded: which continues to impact our lives today.
